Seed of the Month: Patio Tomato Hybrid
Let’s face
it—sometimes Maine doesn’t have a lot of sun and growing tomatoes can be
tricky. That’s why many of us choose
early season tomatoes—to try to get the most out of our short growing season.
Growing tomatoes in containers definitely gives Maine gardeners an edge, the
soil warms fast, and, if need be, the containers can be shifted to follow the
sun!
Patio
Tomatoes are great for small garden spaces and containers on the patio or roof
top. While other varieties can be grown
in containers Patio Tomatoes have been specifically hybridized to thrive in a
container.
Tasty,
medium, smooth skinned fruits and just 52 days to harvest!
Recipe: Why do anything else?
Slice tomato
the way you like it---add salt and pepper…Enjoy!!
